Trump made the denial after reports by Axios and CNN, citing unnamed US officials, suggested that Washington was willing to consider economic concessions if Tehran made progress on nuclear issues. Trump responded by saying the reports were untrue and that he had offered Iran nothing.
The conflicting reports come as US and Iranian officials continue separate discussions through mediators in an effort to find a possible diplomatic path to ending the ongoing conflict. According to Reuters, Iranian officials have indicated that Tehran remains prepared to engage in talks, while Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has been involved in discussions with Qatari mediators over possible proposals.
