Two Road Closures to Affect Traffic in Ulverston
Drivers and residents in Ulverston are being advised of two upcoming road closures as utility and council works take place in the town. Westmorland and Furness Council has announced that essential work will mean temporary closures on key streets, with signed diversions in place to help motorists find alternative routes.
The first closure will be on Aldwych Terrace, where United Utilities engineers will carry out planned infrastructure work. The restriction is expected to be in place for several days starting from late January this year.
At the same time, Ainsworth Street is also closed to allow Electricity North West to undertake important electrical works. These closures are designed to improve safety and services for the local community, though drivers are urged to allow extra time for their journeys and follow the diversion signs.
Motorists are reminded that access for emergency vehicles will be maintained where possible, but delays should be expected in the areas affected by the works.
