The incident took place on a busy stretch of road crowded with walkers and support teams. Witnesses say the driver pulled out to overtake despite limited visibility and heavy foot traffic, narrowly avoiding those taking part in the sponsored event.
The video was posted on the local “IdiotDrivers” page – a community with a monthly reach of around 500,000 views, known for sharing clips of dangerous or inconsiderate motorists. The footage has already racked up more than 70,000 views, with hundreds of comments condemning the driver’s behaviour. Some users were particularly blunt, with one commenting: “Typical Audi w*nker.”
One participant described the manoeuvre as “reckless and completely unnecessary”, saying marshals were working hard to keep the route safe when the driver “put everyone at risk”.
Several witnesses have reported the incident to police, who are understood to be making enquiries.
K2B organisers routinely remind motorists to exercise extreme caution during the event due to the large number of walkers and volunteers lining the route.
No injuries were reported, but many online have said it was “pure luck” that no one was harmed.
