National Trust Unveils a Magical Winter Wonderland at Sizergh
The Lake District has officially stepped into Christmas and Sizergh, a stunning medieval National Trust estate near Kendal, is at the heart of the magic. The highlight of this year’s event is a nature themed light and sound trail around the Knoll. Created by local artists, the installation celebrates Sizergh’s winter wildlife and transforms the grounds into a glowing, immersive landscape. Inside Sizergh’s medieval house, every room is dressed for the season with charming decorations. Visitors can even enjoy a quiet moment in the chapel a rare, peaceful pause during the holiday rush.
