Manchester Airport Unveils Luxury New Lounge with £57.99 Gourmet Buffet Experience

05 Jul 2026 Manchester Airport Unveils Luxury New Lounge with £57.99 Gourmet Buffet Experience

Manchester Airport has officially opened its newest premium passenger lounge, bringing a luxury dining experience to Terminal 2. The Executive by Escape Lounges offers travellers an upgraded way to begin their journey before departure. The new facility is now welcoming both pre booked and walk in guests.

The lounge features what is believed to be the UK's first airport lounge carvery alongside live cooking stations, premium drinks and chef led dining. Prices start from £57.99 per person for the buffet experience, while a more exclusive seated dining option will launch later this year. Guests can also enjoy barista coffee, pastries, deli style dishes and locally sourced food throughout their visit.

Designed by CAVU, part of Manchester Airports Group, the lounge celebrates the city's heritage through locally inspired interiors and regional food and drink suppliers. Five distinct dining and relaxation areas allow passengers to choose between light snacks, hot meals and premium restaurant style surroundings. The space also offers runway views, fast WiFi and complimentary refreshments before flights.

Airport bosses say the new lounge reflects growing demand for high quality travel experiences as more passengers seek comfort before flying. Manchester Airport Managing Director Chris Woodroofe described the opening as another important milestone in the airport's ongoing Terminal 2 transformation. The investment forms part of wider improvements aimed at enhancing the passenger experience.

The Executive is open daily to all passengers travelling through Terminal 2, regardless of airline, subject to availability. Travellers can reserve a place in advance or pay on arrival if space is available. Airport officials believe the new lounge will become a popular choice for leisure and business travellers alike.

The launch adds another premium option for passengers ahead of the busy summer travel season and highlights Manchester Airport's continued investment in customer facilities. With its chef prepared menu, locally inspired design and first of its kind airport carvery, the lounge aims to offer a memorable start to every journey. Officials expect strong demand as increasing numbers of travellers look for a more comfortable airport experience.
