Cumbria Police's road safety camera vans will be operating across several locations in the county today, Thursday,
Camera vans are scheduled to operate in Cockermouth, as well as along the A5086 between the A66 and A595. Further enforcement activity is planned in Barrow, Ulverston, Walney and Kirkby-in-Furness, meaning motorists travelling through parts of South and West Cumbria may encounter speed camera vans during the day.
Police camera vans will also be operating along the A590 between Barrow and Newby Bridge, an important route used by commuters, local residents and visitors travelling between communities in South Cumbria.
Motorists using the M6 between Junction 35 and Junction 37 are also being reminded to follow the relevant speed limits, with camera enforcement scheduled on this busy section of motorway. The enforcement programme covers a mixture of urban roads, major A-roads and the motorway network, highlighting the importance of maintaining safe speeds throughout journeys.
