Mobile Speed Camera Vans Deployed Across Cumbria Today
Cumbria Police’s road safety camera vans are in operation today at multiple locations across the county as part of ongoing efforts to improve road safety and reduce speeding.
Drivers are being warned to remain alert and observe speed limits, as enforcement activity is taking place on several major routes.
Today’s monitored locations include the A69 east from Brampton, the A689 between Carlisle and Hallbankgate, and the A66 roadworks section between Junction 40 of the M6 and Temple Sowerby, where temporary speed limits are in force.
Other enforcement areas include Wigton, east Carlisle, the M6 between Junctions 42 and 45, and the A6 north of Penrith.
Authorities have reminded motorists that mobile speed enforcement can operate at any time and in any weather conditions, and that the aim is to encourage safer driving rather than penalise motorists.
Drivers are urged to stay within posted speed limits and exercise caution, particularly in roadworks zones and high-traffic areas.
