Lorry Crash Causes Disruption After Hitting West Cumbrian Bridge
Traffic was disrupted in West Cumbria after a lorry collided with a bridge in the village of Seaton, near Workington.
According to police, the incident occurred at a bridge close to Seaton Infants School, where the lorry struck the structure and became lodged on the roadway. The impact also caused the vehicle’s cargo to become dislodged.
The crash resulted in the main road being blocked, leading to delays for motorists in the area while emergency services managed the situation.
Recovery teams were later called to the scene, and the lorry was successfully removed, allowing traffic to return to normal.
No injuries have been reported following the incident.
