KGM Musso Saracen Blends Premium Comfort with Serious Pick Up Capability

10 Jun 2026 KGM Musso Saracen Blends Premium Comfort with Serious Pick Up Capability

The new KGM Musso Saracen is proving that modern pick-up trucks can offer far more than rugged utility. Combining premium comfort, advanced safety systems, and impressive load-carrying abilities, the latest Musso aims to appeal to both business users and private motorists looking for a versatile all-round vehicle.

At first glance, the Musso presents the tough and muscular appearance expected from a traditional pick-up. However, inside the cabin, drivers are greeted by a level of luxury more commonly associated with high-end SUVs. Nappa leather seats, heating and ventilation functions, a heated steering wheel, and a spacious interior create a comfortable environment for long-distance travel.

Technology also plays a major role in the vehicle’s appeal. A pair of 12.3-inch digital displays provide access to navigation, entertainment, and vehicle information, while smartphone connectivity through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto ensures drivers remain connected on the move. Dual-zone climate control further enhances comfort for both driver and passengers.

On the road, the Musso Saracen delivers a surprisingly refined experience. Power comes from a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine producing 202PS and 441Nm of torque. Paired with a smooth six-speed automatic transmission, the powertrain offers strong acceleration and effortless cruising, making motorway journeys particularly comfortable.

Unlike many pick-ups that can feel unsettled when unloaded, the Musso maintains a composed ride quality. The suspension setup provides impressive comfort while still allowing the vehicle to handle country roads with confidence. Precise steering and a quiet cabin contribute to a driving experience that feels closer to an SUV than a traditional commercial vehicle.

Safety equipment is comprehensive, with features including blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, parking sensors, a reversing camera, electronic cruise control, and brake-assist technology. These systems help reduce driver fatigue and improve confidence during both urban and long-distance journeys.

Practicality remains one of the Musso’s strongest selling points. The vehicle offers a towing capacity of up to 3.5 tonnes and can carry payloads of around one tonne, making it suitable for contractors, farmers, and tradespeople who require serious working capability. Four-wheel drive, low-range gearing, and hill descent control further enhance its off-road credentials.

KGM, formerly known as SsangYong, has built a reputation for producing durable four-wheel-drive vehicles over several decades. The Musso continues that tradition while adding a level of refinement that broadens its appeal beyond commercial buyers.

With prices starting from just over £30,000 before VAT, the Musso Saracen represents strong value in the increasingly competitive pick-up market. Its blend of comfort, technology, practicality, and towing strength makes it a compelling choice for customers seeking a vehicle capable of handling both demanding workdays and comfortable family journeys.
