Zinger Claims Seventh Puppy Victory At Fellside.

Zinger produced another strong performance at Fellside to claim his seventh puppy victory of the season during a meeting organised by the Carlisle and Penrith Area.

The puppy race attracted 16 entries, with Zinger, owned by Anna and Kerry Lindsay and Janie McAulay, getting away quickly and taking an early position at the front. Among those chasing were Rodney Ranger and Thorn Daisy, both regarded as leading challengers for the HRA Puppy Championship. As the hounds began their descent towards the finish, Rodney Ranger and Thorn Daisy were closely matched. However, Zinger moved through strongly and took the lead ahead of Merle.

Zinger maintained his advantage as the hounds came out of the beck and raced towards the finishing line. He eventually secured victory ahead of Rodney Ranger and Merle, with Thorn Daisy finishing fourth. Bewley followed in fifth, while Charlie’s Dream claimed the final ticket.

The Fellside meeting also featured three other races, each attracting 16 hounds. In the opening senior race, Millie’s Lass produced a strong finish to beat Delta Fortune and table leader Silver Dream. Denton Phantom finished fourth, followed by Huntsman’s Unite and Let It Be.

The Open Maiden was won by Heartside, who finished strongly to beat Tartan Raider and Eden Ripple. Eden Romina came home fourth, with Degsey Moon and Swifty completing the finishing places. In the final Open Restricted race, Lady Million edged out Thorn Heart and Let’s Go For It. Malfunction finished fourth, followed by Miss Becky and Spring Return. The results underline another successful meeting at Fellside, with Zinger’s latest win further strengthening his growing reputation in the puppy category.
