Kendal drink-driver banned after crashing into multiple cars

09 Apr 2026 Kendal drink-driver banned after crashing into multiple cars

A man from Kendal has been disqualified from driving for over two years following a court hearing where he admitted drink-driving and causing multiple collisions in the town. Police said the driver’s blood alcohol level was nearly three times the legal limit when officers arrived at the scene, and his vehicle had struck several other cars during the incident.

The crash prompted a police response and led to charges of driving under the influence of alcohol. At the hearing, the court imposed a driving ban in line with sentencing guidelines for drink-driving offences that put other road users at risk.

Drink-driving remains a serious concern for road safety in the region, with law enforcement continuing to urge motorists to avoid driving after consuming alcohol.
