Two Men Jailed in London to Barrow Cocaine Supply Network Case

Two Men Jailed in London to Barrow Cocaine Supply Network Case

Two men have been sentenced to prison for their roles in a drug supply network that brought cocaine into Barrow following a long running police investigation. The sentences came after officers uncovered evidence linking the pair to the distribution of Class A drugs in the area.
The operation was led by Westmorland and Furness Community Serious and Organised Crime unit under the name Operation Filler, which began in response to intelligence about cocaine being supplied into the Barrow area. Searches at several addresses uncovered significant quantities of cocaine and cannabis along with cash and packaging used for distribution.
During the investigation, fingerprints and messaging evidence were used to tie the defendants to the supply chain, and both men were arrested and charged. One of the men received a prison sentence of over seven years and the other was handed a five year term.
Police said the sentences reflect the serious harm caused by the trafficking of illegal drugs and that the operation demonstrates their commitment to tackling organised crime and protecting local communities.
