Lamborghini Urus: Sportswear Dressed in a Lounge Suit
Lamborghini has once again pushed the boundaries of performance and luxury with the latest evolution of its best-selling super SUV, the Urus. Described by many motoring experts as “sportswear in a lounge suit,” the vehicle combines the aggressive performance expected from the Italian supercar manufacturer with the comfort and practicality of a high-end luxury SUV.
The newest Urus SE introduces hybrid technology to the lineup, pairing Lamborghini’s twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine with an advanced electric motor system. Together, the setup produces close to 800 horsepower, allowing the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds while reaching a top speed of more than 300 km/h. Despite its immense power, the hybrid system also improves fuel efficiency and enables limited electric-only driving for quieter city journeys.
What makes the Urus particularly unique is its dual personality. While it delivers the speed and excitement of a traditional Lamborghini sports car, it also offers the comfort, practicality and elevated driving position of a luxury SUV. Drivers can comfortably use it for everyday commuting, family travel or long-distance touring without sacrificing performance.
Inside, the cabin reflects Lamborghini’s dramatic design philosophy. The interior features premium leather, carbon fibre trim, advanced digital displays and fighter jet-inspired controls. Luxury touches such as high-end audio systems, customizable seating and multiple driving modes create an experience that blends elegance with motorsport aggression.
Adding further exclusivity to the range is the recently unveiled Urus SE Trettenero Capsule, a limited-edition model introduced during the 2026 Milano Design Week. Production is restricted to just 630 units worldwide, making it one of the rarest Urus models ever built. Lamborghini says it is also the most customizable version of the SUV to date, offering more than 70 personalization options for exterior colours, interiors and styling details.
The Trettenero Capsule stands out with its signature gloss-black roof and upper body design, contrasted by vibrant exterior paint choices and bespoke interior colour combinations. Buyers can further customize the vehicle with carbon fibre packages, unique wheel designs and personalized trim finishes, reinforcing Lamborghini’s focus on individuality and exclusivity.
Automotive reviewers have praised the Urus for maintaining Lamborghini’s unmistakable character despite its SUV body style. Many note that while the vehicle offers everyday usability and comfort, it still delivers the raw emotion, sound and acceleration expected from the famous Italian brand.
Since its launch, the Urus has become one of Lamborghini’s most commercially successful models, helping expand the company’s global customer base beyond traditional supercar buyers. The latest hybrid and special-edition variants demonstrate the company’s strategy of combining sustainability, luxury and extreme performance without compromising its identity.
For Lamborghini, the Urus is no longer simply an SUV it has become a statement of modern performance motoring, proving that practicality and supercar excitement can exist in the same machine.
