18 Apr 2026 Tom Jenkins to Perform Live at Workington’s Lounge 41

Acclaimed Welsh musician Tom Jenkins is set to perform a live solo show at Lounge 41 on May 1, offering fans an intimate evening of music.

Jenkins recently gained major recognition after being named BBC Radio Wales Artist of the Year for 2025, following the success of his fourth album When the Coal Dust Settles. The concept album explores working-class life in Wales, drawing inspiration from his family’s background in mining and farming.

His growing reputation has extended internationally, including becoming the first Welsh artist to open for country legend Willie Nelson at his ranch in Texas.

Before rising to prominence, Jenkins spent time working as a shepherd and rancher, even writing his debut album while living in the New Zealand outback. Since then, he has released four albums in five years, blending alternative and indie-folk sounds with elements of country music.

Throughout his career, he has collaborated with notable musicians such as Phil Campbell and Marc Ford and has toured or performed alongside artists including Bastille and Frank Turner.

The upcoming Workington performance will begin at 7pm, with tickets priced at £5.50, making it an accessible opportunity for local music fans to experience his live performance.
