Model Context Protocol (MCP)
Seamlessly integrate Lakeland Post's dynamic data directly into your AI assistants and IDEs using our high-performance MCP server.
What is MCP?
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that enables AI models (like Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, etc.) to securely connect to external data sources.
By configuring the Lakeland Post MCP server, your AI assistant gains the ability to instantly fetch real-time news, query the database, manage articles, and read specific content directly from our API without manual copying and pasting.
How to Setup & Use
Locate your MCP Config File
Depending on your tool (Claude Desktop, Cursor, etc.), find
the MCP configuration settings. For Claude Desktop, it is usually located at:
~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
(Mac)
\%APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json
(Windows).
Paste the Configuration
Copy the JSON block above and merge it into your existing
"mcpServers"
object.
Restart your Application
Fully close and restart your AI Assistant or IDE to ensure the new MCP server connection is established.
Start Prompting!
You can now ask your AI things like: "Fetch the latest breaking news from Lakeland Post" or "List the current business categories available on Lakeland."
