Youngsters Ordered to Pick Litter After Throwing Objects at Sports Centre Staff
Youngsters involved in anti-social behaviour in Cumbria have been made to pick up litter after throwing objects at staff working at a local sports centre.
Police said they received reports of items being thrown at employees, putting staff at risk and causing concern in the community. The objects reportedly included a range of items such as eggs and other debris.
Following enquiries, officers identified those responsible and took action, requiring the youths to carry out litter-picking as a form of immediate consequence for their behaviour.
Authorities said the response was aimed at making those involved take responsibility for their actions while also contributing positively to the local area.
Police have reiterated that anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated and warned that further incidents could lead to more serious consequences. They also urged members of the public to continue reporting such behaviour to help keep communities safe.
