West Cumbrian Pub To Close As Lease Comes To An End
A popular West Cumbrian pub is set to close after its operators decided not to renew the lease, bringing an end to the venue's current operation in Harrington.
Brewery House in Harrington served its final food service on Sunday, August 23, marking the end of its regular dining operation at the venue. The business will not continue operating from the building under its existing arrangement.
Although the food service is ending, the team has confirmed that takeaway services will continue until the end of September. This means customers will still have an opportunity to use the business for takeaway food during the remaining period of its operation.
The closure has also prompted clarification from the Brewery House team following speculation about the circumstances surrounding the business. The operators said the pub has not gone into liquidation and explained that the decision was instead linked to the expiry of its lease.
The team said it had chosen not to renew the lease when it came to an end. As a result, the building is now being prepared for sale, with its future ultimately dependent on whoever purchases the property.
