Vehicles set on fire and windows smashed across Whitehaven in overnight damage spree
Police have launched an investigation following a night of widespread criminal damage in Whitehaven, where multiple vehicles and properties were targeted in separate incidents.
The disturbances took place across Game Riggs Road, Buttermere Avenue, and Lakeland Avenue between around 9pm on April 9 and the early hours of April 10.
Officers reported that several vehicles and nearby properties were damaged, with windows smashed in multiple locations during the same timeframe.
In a separate incident on Lakeland Avenue, a vehicle was deliberately set on fire, causing significant damage.
Emergency services and police were called to the scenes as reports of vandalism and arson came in from residents across the affected streets.
Authorities are now appealing for witnesses and anyone with CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage from the area during the relevant times to come forward to assist the investigation.
