Ulverston business owner caught driving while disqualified in Bardsea

20 Apr 2026 Ulverston business owner caught driving while disqualified in Bardsea

An Ulverston business owner has been caught driving while disqualified after being stopped in the Bardsea area near Ulverston.

The incident involved a 23 year old driver who was found to be behind the wheel despite already being subject to a driving ban. Police dealt with the offence after he was discovered driving on a local road.

Court proceedings confirmed that the driver was not permitted to be on the road at the time of the incident. As a result further penalties were imposed reinforcing the seriousness of breaching a driving disqualification.

Driving while disqualified is treated as a serious offence in the UK often leading to extended bans fines or additional court action depending on the circumstances.

Authorities continue to warn that ignoring driving bans puts both the offender and other road users at risk particularly on rural and fast moving roads around the Ulverston area.
