Ullswater Community College to Welcome Prospective Families at Open Evening

Ullswater Community College is preparing to open its doors to prospective students and their families for an upcoming open evening designed to provide an insight into life at the Penrith-based secondary school.

The event will give visitors the chance to tour the campus, meet teachers and current students, and learn more about the wide range of academic and extracurricular opportunities available. Staff from different departments will be on hand to answer questions and explain how the college supports students throughout their educational journey.

Families attending the evening will be able to explore subject areas, view specialist learning facilities and discover the programmes that help students develop both academically and personally. Information will also be available on the school's pastoral care system, enrichment activities and pathways for further education and career development.

School leaders say the event is aimed at helping prospective pupils feel confident about the transition to secondary education while giving parents a clear understanding of the college’s values, expectations and achievements.

The open evening will also highlight the college’s commitment to creating a supportive learning environment where students are encouraged to reach their full potential, whether in the classroom, on the sports field or through creative and community-based activities.

Visitors are encouraged to attend and experience first-hand what the college has to offer as it continues to serve families across the wider Eden area.
