Traffic Held on M6 Southbound After Broken Down Vehicle

Traffic Held on M6 Southbound After Broken Down Vehicle

Traffic was temporarily held on the M6 southbound carriageway due to a broken down vehicle between junction 36 and junction 35, National Highways traffic reports indicate.
The incident led to lane closures, with the hard shoulder and one lane shut while recovery and traffic management operations were carried out. Motorists travelling in the area faced slower progress as traffic built up approaching the affected section.
Traffic information services suggested that normal conditions were expected to return later in the evening once the vehicle had been cleared and lanes reopened. Drivers were advised to allow extra time for their journeys and exercise caution when passing the scene.
This kind of disruption on busy stretches of motorway can cause significant delays during peak periods, and authorities encourage motorists to check travel updates before setting off.
