Teen Cyclist Seriously Injured in Early Morning Crash in Kendal

A 14-year-old cyclist has been seriously injured following a road traffic collision in South Cumbria.

The incident occurred at around 8:00am on Friday, May 1, on Windermere Road in Kendal. The crash involved the teenage cyclist and a van.

Emergency services attended the scene, and the boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Authorities have not yet released further details about his condition.

The road was temporarily closed while police carried out initial investigations into the incident.

Cumbria Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or has relevant information to come forward as inquiries continue.
