Stolen Motorbike Recovered After Police “Hide and Seek” at Former Industrial Site

Cumbria, UK. A stolen motorbike was recovered by Copeland police after an unusual search at the Marchon site in Whitehaven on Sunday.

The motorcycle was spotted by a member of the public at the disused industrial area in Kells, who believed it may have been stolen and alerted officers.

Police Constable 2857 located the bike after what has been described as a “long game of hide and seek” across the sprawling site. After a lengthy walk, the officer managed to secure the motorbike and push it back to the police van.

The owner was traced and contacted, and the motorbike was returned to them. Officers thanked the vigilant member of the public for reporting the bike and another person who helped with the difficult retrieval.
