Sir Clive Woodward named keynote speaker for major Cumbria business conference
Sir Clive Woodward has been announced as the keynote speaker for Conference Cumbria, one of the county’s leading business events set to take place this autumn.
The former England rugby coach, who led the national team to victory in the 2003 Rugby World Cup, will headline the conference on October 1 at the Pencil Factory in Keswick.
Widely regarded as one of the leading figures in high performance and team development, Sir Clive also played a key role as director of sport for Team GB during the London 2012 Olympics. His experience across elite sport and organisational leadership has made him a sought-after speaker in both business and sporting circles.
The event, organised by the Cumbria Chamber of Commerce, is expected to attract around 350 businesses from across the region and beyond.
This year’s theme, Be Bold Be Courageous, will focus on how organisations can adapt, grow and make confident decisions in an increasingly uncertain and fast changing environment.
Alongside the keynote address, the conference will feature a range of speakers, panel discussions and networking opportunities aimed at helping businesses share ideas and build connections.
Organisers say the event continues to grow in importance within the regional business calendar, offering companies a chance to step back from daily operations and gain fresh perspectives on future challenges and opportunities.
