Pub boss sent ex 100 abusive messages in five hour outburst

A pub boss from Flookburgh has been sentenced after bombarding his former partner with around 100 abusive messages within a five hour period. The court heard that the messages were persistent and increasingly aggressive, causing significant distress to the victim.

Prosecutors outlined how the incident unfolded over a short but intense timeframe, with the defendant repeatedly contacting his ex despite the impact it was having. The volume and tone of the messages were described as excessive and intimidating.

The court was told that this behaviour amounted to harassment, with the sustained nature of the messages playing a key role in the case. Authorities continue to warn that repeated unwanted communication, especially when abusive, can quickly cross into criminal territory.
