Cumbria Police has launched a public appeal for information after a 60 year old man was identified as wanted in connection with a series of burglaries in the Lake District.
Officers are seeking help to locate Ian McDuff, who is believed to be linked to recent break ins in the Ambleside and Windermere areas. McDuff is described as a white male, approximately 5 ft 5 in tall, and is often seen with a white or grey beard.
Police are urging anyone who recognises McDuff or has information about his whereabouts to come forward. Members of the public can report details online via the Cumbria Police website or by calling 101. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Officers have not disclosed exactly how many incidents McDuff is connected to, but the appeal highlights the force’s determination to tackle burglary and protect local communities in the national park region.
