Police Investigate Series of Racial Abuse Incidents in Workington
Cumbria Police have launched an investigation following a series of alleged racial abuse incidents in Workington town centre.
The incidents reportedly involved one man directing verbal and racially abusive comments towards another man in the town.
Police said the most recent reported incident took place at around 11.30pm on 15 July 2026.
Officers are now appealing to members of the public who may have witnessed the incidents or who may have information that could assist with the investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to report it through the Cumbria Police website, quoting incident number 111 of 19 July 2026, or contact police by calling 101.
Information can also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incidents or has relevant information to come forward as the investigation continues.
