Police Appeal After Bike Stolen in Carlisle CCTV Images Released

Police Appeal After Bike Stolen in Carlisle CCTV Images Released

Police in Carlisle have issued a CCTV appeal for information following the theft of a bicycle from an address in the city late last year. Officers are now asking the public to help identify a man captured in the footage as part of their ongoing investigation into the theft.
The incident occurred on 11 December 2025 at around 8:15pm, when a bike was taken from a property on Raffles Avenue in Carlisle. Authorities say the released CCTV image shows a male figure they want to speak to in connection with the theft, and they are urging anyone who recognises him to provide information.
The individual is described by police as wearing a black jacket with the hood up and grey jogging bottoms at the time the image was captured. Officers stressed that even small pieces of information from the public could help progress the investigation and assist in recovering the stolen bicycle.
Cumbria Police are urging anyone with relevant information to report it online or by calling 101, quoting the incident number associated with this case. Alternatively, information can be shared anonymously via Crimestoppers.
Local police emphasise the community’s role in preventing and solving crimes like bike theft, encouraging residents to check their own CCTV, doorbell cameras or dashcam footage for any sightings that might aid the inquiry.
