01 Apr 2026 Motorbike Seized in Carlisle Following Dangerous Riding Complaints

Carlisle, UK Officers from the Carlisle neighbourhood policing team have confiscated a motorbike after residents raised concerns about dangerous riding along the path between Denton Holme and Dalston.

Police were working closely with local communities in Denton Holme, Cummersdale, and Dalston when they identified a bike that had been repeatedly ridden in a reckless manner. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the rider tried to flee but was subsequently apprehended.

The rider and passengers are known to police, and authorities say action will be taken to ensure they are held accountable. The seized motorbike is set to be destroyed.

In a statement, Carlisle police acknowledged ongoing concerns about other illegal motorbikes in the area and encouraged residents to continue reporting dangerous riding by calling 999. They reaffirmed their commitment to tackling the issue and protecting local streets, parks, and estates from unlawful and unsafe vehicle use.
