Mobile Speed Camera Vans Operating Across Cumbria Today

Cumbria Police’s road safety camera vans are scheduled to operate at several locations across the county today, Monday February 2, as part of ongoing efforts to reduce speeding and improve road safety.
The mobile units will be positioned at Cumwhinton, Durdar, Scotby, south Carlisle, on the M6 between Junctions 42 and 45, on the A66 east from Penrith, and in the wider Penrith area.
These mobile speed camera vans form part of Cumbria Police’s strategy to enforce speed limits at known concern spots and deter drivers from exceeding limits, which can lead to serious road traffic collisions.
Motorists travelling in these areas should expect to encounter enforcement teams and are reminded to adhere to posted speed limits and drive with caution.
