Millom Man Banned from Driving After Being Caught Over Drink Limit
A man from Millom has been banned from driving after pleading guilty to a drink driving offence in court.
The defendant was stopped by police and subsequently failed a roadside breath test, showing he was over the legal alcohol limit. The case was brought before a magistrates’ court where he admitted the offence.
As a result of the conviction, the court imposed a driving ban and other penalties in line with drink driving laws in England and Wales. Drivers found over the limit can face disqualification, fines and in some cases prison sentences depending on the severity of the offence.
Police and road safety officials continue to emphasise the dangers of driving after drinking alcohol and urge motorists to make responsible choices to protect themselves and others on the road.
