Major Airline Expands UK Flights With New Routes and Increased Services for Summer 2026

08 May 2026 Major Airline Expands UK Flights With New Routes and Increased Services for Summer 2026

A major airline is set to expand its operations across the United Kingdom by adding more flights and launching several new routes ahead of the busy Summer 2026 travel season. The move comes as demand for international holidays and business travel continues to rise across the country.

Airlines including Jet2, TUI, and SunExpress are increasing services from major UK airports, giving passengers more travel options to popular destinations across Europe and North Africa. New routes will connect travellers to locations in Greece, Croatia, Morocco, and Egypt.

One of the biggest developments includes the arrival of SunExpress at East Midlands Airport, where the airline will begin operating flights to Antalya in Türkiye. The airline plans to run multiple weekly services during the summer season.

Meanwhile, Jet2 is introducing several additional holiday destinations, including routes to Preveza, Thessaloniki, Chania, and Pula. The airline is also expanding its Jersey services due to growing customer demand.

Travel company TUI is also bringing back flights to Sharm El Sheikh after a three year break, highlighting the growing popularity of overseas holiday travel among UK passengers.

Airport officials say the expansion will improve connectivity, support tourism growth, and provide travellers with a wider range of affordable holiday choices. Several UK airports are also investing in terminal upgrades, security improvements, and better passenger facilities to handle the expected increase in traffic during 2026.
