International Market Returns to Carlisle This Week
The much-anticipated international market is returning to the city centre of Carlisle this week, bringing a vibrant mix of global flavours, crafts, and unique products.
The open-air event will run from Thursday, April 2, to Monday, April 6, and is expected to attract large crowds. More than 40 traders will take part, offering a diverse range of items including international street food, handmade crafts, gifts, and furniture. Visitors can also explore popular attractions such as the Dutch flower stalls and a continental-style street bar.
Organised by Market Place Europe and supported by Cumberland Council, the market is a regular highlight in the city’s events calendar. It aims to provide a lively shopping and cultural experience for both residents and visitors.
Stalls will generally operate from 9am to 6pm between Thursday and Saturday, while Sunday and the bank holiday Monday will have slightly shorter hours, running from 10am to 5pm.
The event is expected to boost footfall in the city centre and offer a wide selection of international cuisine and specialty goods, making it a key attraction for the local community this week.
