Honister Pass Partially Blocked After Crash
HONISTER PASS A collision on Honister Pass caused partial blockage of the B5289 on Saturday, leading to traffic queues as drivers were delayed while emergency services responded to the incident.
The crash occurred just after 12.30pm on April 4, with reports indicating that southbound traffic was particularly affected as vehicles slowed and diverted around the scene.
Emergency crews were called to assist at the site, although details about injuries or the number of vehicles involved have not yet been confirmed by authorities.
Honister Pass — one of the Lake District’s higher mountain passes — is known for its steep gradients and scenic but challenging driving conditions, factors that can contribute to delays when collisions occur.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time for journeys through the area and to check for updates from local traffic authorities as recovery efforts continue.
