Final Chance To Enjoy Supper Sounds And Sunset At West Cumbrian Hotel
A West Cumbrian hotel is making a final call for guests to book places at an evening combining seasonal dining, live entertainment and views across the gardens towards the sea.
Hunday Manor at Winscales, near Workington, is preparing to host its Supper, Sounds & Sunset event on Saturday, August 29. The summer garden party will feature a specially prepared menu, DJ entertainment and live music from Danielle Vocals, with guests also able to explore the hotel's newly renovated Woodland Suites.
The evening follows the venue's recent Step Into Greece event, which featured Greek-inspired food and entertainment from tribute act An Abba Dream. Organisers said the latest event is intended to offer guests a relaxed summer evening centred around food, music and the hotel's surroundings.
Guests will be offered a choice of welcome drinks, including elderflower fizz with sparkling wine, elderflower cordial and fresh mint, or a Cumbrian gin and tonic served with heather and juniper berries. Canapés will also be served before diners move on to the main menu.
Starter options include Cumbrian asparagus and poached egg salad with lemon verbena dressing, smoked Cumbrian venison carpaccio with pickled berries and baby leaves, and a heritage tomato gazpacho shooter with basil oil. Main courses include slow-cooked Cumbrian fell lamb rump, pan-seared Cumbrian trout and a vegetarian wild mushroom and spinach tart.
The dessert selection includes elderflower panna cotta with summer berry compote, Cumbrian apple and blackberry crumble with vanilla cream, as well as a selection of mini lemon drizzle cakes, profiteroles and other bite-sized sweets. Guests will also receive buttered new potatoes, artisan bread with flavoured butters and a garden vegetable medley.
The event is scheduled to run from 7pm until around midnight, giving guests an extended evening of food and entertainment. Tickets are priced at £40 per person, while exclusive accommodation packages are available from £100 per room.
Those planning to attend are required to complete their food pre-orders seven days before the event. With only limited places remaining, organisers are encouraging anyone wishing to attend the summer evening to secure their tickets in advance.
