Eight Carlisle United Academy Players Earn Scholarships For New Season
Carlisle United has confirmed its latest intake of Academy scholars, with eight talented young players earning scholarships ahead of the 2026 27 campaign.
The new group of scholars includes Ben Aaron, Finley Boertien, Harry Cairns, Dan Miller, Kai Muldoon, Brad Robinson, Josh Wade, and Nathan Wheatley. Each player has impressed coaches through their performances, dedication, and development within the academy, earning the opportunity to continue their progress at Brunton Park.
Among the intake is Brad Robinson, a 16 year old goalkeeper from Carlisle who first joined the academy at under 12 level. His progression through the youth ranks reflects the club's emphasis on identifying and nurturing local talent capable of representing the first team in the future.
Academy staff praised the commitment shown by the new scholars, describing the scholarships as a reward for years of hard work and determination. Club officials also acknowledged the important role played by families, grassroots clubs, coaches, and volunteers who have supported the players throughout their development.
The scholarship programme combines football training with education, allowing players to continue their academic studies while receiving professional coaching, sports science support, and competitive match experience. It is designed to prepare young footballers for the physical and mental demands of senior football while helping them develop as individuals both on and off the pitch.
For Carlisle United, investing in youth development remains a key part of the club's long term strategy. The academy has produced several players who have gone on to represent the senior team, and officials hope the latest group of scholars will follow a similar path in the years ahead.
As preparations continue for the new season, the eight young scholars now have the opportunity to prove themselves within the club's development system. Their progress will be closely watched by supporters eager to see the next generation of Carlisle United talent emerge through the academy ranks.
