25 Apr 2026 Cumbria police reveal speed camera locations for April 25

Cumbria Police have revealed the locations of speed camera vans operating across the region on April 25 as part of their continued efforts to improve road safety and reduce speeding offences.

The deployment of mobile speed cameras will take place in multiple areas, including Barrow, Walney, Millom, and Kirkby-in-Furness, along with several rural and urban routes. Key roads such as the A66, A685, and sections of the M6 motorway are also included in the enforcement plan.

Additional locations include Flimby, Broughton Moor, Cockermouth, and Houghton, as well as the B5307 between Carlisle and Abbeytown, ensuring wide coverage across the county.

The initiative is part of ongoing enforcement by Cumbria Police aimed at tackling speeding drivers, which remains a major factor in road accidents. Authorities regularly publish these locations to raise awareness and encourage motorists to follow speed limits.

Officials emphasize that speed cameras are not just for enforcement but also act as a deterrent to dangerous driving. Studies have shown that such measures can significantly reduce collisions and improve overall safety on the roads.

Drivers are advised to remain cautious, adhere to posted speed limits, and be mindful that speed enforcement operations may be active in various locations throughout the day.
