Cumbria Police Reveal Latest Speed Camera Van Locations Across Region
Motorists in Cumbria are being warned to stay within speed limits as police roll out mobile speed camera vans across key routes in the region.
The enforcement initiative forms part of ongoing road safety efforts aimed at reducing accidents and encouraging responsible driving. Camera vans are deployed at various locations, often changing daily, to monitor traffic and deter speeding.
Recent deployments have included major routes such as the M6, A66 and A591, as well as other busy and high risk roads across the county. These areas are regularly monitored due to traffic volume and previous incidents.
Police have stressed that the purpose of the camera vans is not to catch drivers out, but to improve safety for all road users. By increasing visibility and unpredictability of enforcement, authorities aim to reduce dangerous driving behaviour.
Drivers are encouraged to remain aware of speed limits at all times, regardless of whether enforcement vehicles are visible, as part of a wider effort to make Cumbria’s roads safer.
