Cumbria Crack Backs Appleby Cricket Club with New Sponsorship Deal
Appleby Cricket Club has announced a new sponsorship agreement with local media outlet Cumbria Crack, which will support both the club’s first and second teams during the 2026 cricket season.
The partnership has been welcomed by the club as a significant boost for its ongoing development and community engagement. First team captain Morgan Fothergill said the support would make a real difference both on and off the field.
“We welcome the sponsorship from Cumbria Crack, which has a strong track record of supporting grassroots sport with its coverage,” he said. “Their backing means a lot to us and the Appleby community. The club is going from strength to strength and support like this really matters.”
Cumbria Crack owner Andy Barr, speaking on behalf of Barron Media, said the decision to support Appleby Cricket Club reflects the company’s commitment to local sport.
“We are delighted to be able to support Appleby Cricket Club in this way,” he said. “Cumbria Crack is passionate about local sport and as a proud Cumbrian firm, we believe it is vital to support sporting clubs – they encourage teamwork and community spirit.”
The sponsorship is expected to help the club continue its development across all levels, reinforcing its role within the Appleby community and wider Cumbrian cricket scene.
