Cranstons Community Spirit Shines as It Raises Over £4,800 for Local Hospice Care

Cranstons Community Spirit Shines as It Raises Over £4,800 for Local Hospice Care

Cumbrian food retail specialist Cranstons has proudly announced that it has raised £4,813 to support Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland, reflecting strong community generosity and the company’s commitment to giving back.
The remarkable total came through a combination of collection tins placed at tills in Cranstons stores, a festive Christmas hamper raffle, a 50p donation from every Christmas pudding sold, and a share of profits donated by the business.
Jane Silburn, Cranstons’ Business Development Manager, said the team is “thrilled to continue supporting Hospice at Home” and thanked both staff and loyal customers for their contributions, which make donations like this possible.
Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland, which relies on local fundraising to provide vital nursing, emotional and practical support to patients and their families, expressed deep gratitude for the donation. The funds raised will contribute directly to the charity’s mission of providing compassionate care at a time when families need it most.
Cranstons also supports several other local charities as part of its annual philanthropic programme, including Tynedale Hospice at Home, the Great North Air Ambulance and Carlisle Youth Zone, with further donations to be shared later this year.
This fundraising success highlights the strong partnership between local businesses and charities in Cumbria, and the difference that community support can make in helping care organisations continue their essential work.
