A petrol station in Carlisle was targeted in an early morning burglary, with thieves making off with a significant haul of cigarettes and tobacco.

Police were alerted to the break-in at around 6:27am on April 9, following reports of suspicious activity at a petrol station on Kingstown Road. Cumbria Police confirmed that the incident is believed to have occurred sometime between midnight and 6:00am.

Officers say the burglary took place near the Morrisons area on Kingstown Road and are now urging anyone who may have seen unusual activity during those hours to come forward.

An investigation is ongoing, and authorities are appealing for information that could help identify those responsible. Anyone with relevant details is encouraged to contact police, quoting the incident reference from April 9.
