Carlisle Pub To Close For Major Makeover
The Beehive pub on Warwick Road in Carlisle is set to temporarily close from Monday, August 24, for a major refurbishment described as a six figure investment.
The refurbishment will introduce a number of new features designed to modernise the venue and improve the experience for customers. Work will include new furniture, lighting and décor throughout the interior, alongside improvements to the outdoor areas.
A new outdoor screen will be installed in the beer garden, providing an additional space for customers to watch sporting events and other entertainment. The project will also include interactive digital dart boards aimed at adding another recreational option for visitors.
The makeover will also create a new raised function space that customers will be able to book, giving the Carlisle venue an additional area for private events, celebrations and group gatherings.
The refurbishment is being carried out as part of a wider investment in the pub, with the owners saying the improvements are intended to make the venue more appealing throughout the day and evening. The changes are expected to provide customers with more modern facilities while retaining the pub's existing role within the local community.
Inside the venue, customers can expect refreshed décor alongside upgraded lighting and furniture. The changes are intended to create a more contemporary environment and provide greater comfort for people visiting throughout the week.
The outdoor area will also receive significant attention during the project. The new screen in the beer garden is expected to become a key feature, particularly for customers looking to watch live sporting events in an outdoor setting.
The addition of interactive digital dart boards will provide another entertainment option and is expected to appeal particularly to sports fans and groups looking for activities alongside food and drinks.
The new raised function space will give customers another option for organising private gatherings. The space will be available to book once the refurbishment has been completed, potentially making the venue more suitable for celebrations and organised events.
The pub is expected to remain closed throughout the main refurbishment period before reopening next month. The exact reopening date will depend on the progress of the works.
The investment represents a significant update for the Carlisle venue and is expected to bring a combination of modern facilities and new entertainment options to Warwick Road.
Once the work is complete, customers will be able to use the refurbished indoor areas, upgraded beer garden and new entertainment facilities as the pub begins its next stage of operation.
