Carlisle Man Jailed After Hiding £3,600 Worth of Cocaine Behind Fridge
A Carlisle man has been jailed for three years and two months after police found cocaine worth an estimated £3,600 hidden behind a fridge at his home.
Sean Maxwell, 34, of Arnside Road in Harraby, appeared before Carlisle Crown Court after admitting possession of cocaine with intent to supply and possession of cannabis.
Police raided Maxwell’s property after receiving information from members of the local community. As officers entered the address, Maxwell attempted to conceal his supply of cocaine behind a fridge.
During the search, officers discovered cocaine with an estimated street value of £3,600, along with cannabis, cash, scales and other drug-related equipment.
Maxwell was arrested and declined to comment during his police interview. He later admitted the offences when he appeared in court.
Cumbria Police thanked members of the public whose information helped officers obtain the warrant and carry out the search.
Officers said they would continue targeting individuals involved in the possession and supply of illegal drugs across Carlisle and the wider area.
