A bike has been seized by police following reports of anti-social riding on a South Cumbrian common, authorities have confirmed.

Officers from Furness Police said they received multiple complaints about disruptive behaviour involving mopeds, e-bikes and off-road motorcycles in the Birkrigg Common area.

Police attended the scene and carried out enquiries, leading to the identification and seizure of a bike believed to be connected to the incidents.

According to officers, the seized vehicle is likely to be destroyed as part of enforcement action. Investigations into similar reports in the area are still ongoing.

Furness Police stressed that anti-social riding can have a significant impact on local communities and reiterated their commitment to tackling such behaviour. They also urged residents to continue reporting incidents to help authorities take action.
