Ambulance Needed After Walker Rescued Near Stickle Tarn

A walker was rescued near Stickle Tarn after suffering a serious fall in a remote and difficult area of the Lake District.

Emergency services including mountain rescue teams were quickly called to the scene after the incident was reported.

Due to the challenging terrain and limited access an ambulance response required additional support including air rescue services to reach the casualty safely.

Rescue teams worked together to provide urgent medical care at the location while assessing the safest way to evacuate the injured walker.

Weather conditions initially made the operation more complex but improved visibility later allowed air support to assist in the rescue effort.

The casualty was eventually airlifted from the scene and transferred for further treatment demonstrating the coordinated response of multiple emergency services.
