Adam Brown joins Whitehaven after record-breaking season

Whitehaven have strengthened their batting line-up with the signing of highly rated batsman Adam Brown ahead of the new Cumbria League Premier Division season.

Brown arrives from Seascale after an exceptional campaign in the North First Division, where he amassed 1,069 runs in just 17 innings at an outstanding average of 106.9. His tally included four centuries and four half-centuries, making him the league’s leading run-scorer and earning him the Division One Player of the Year award.

The left-handed middle-order batsman, whose highest score last season was an unbeaten 174, now steps up to a higher level after progressing through the ranks at Seascale since his junior days.

Whitehaven described Brown as an aggressive and dynamic player capable of accelerating the innings, adding that his arrival will bring significant firepower to their batting unit.

His move also carries personal significance, with strong family ties to Seascale—where his late father was a respected figure within the club and local league structure.

Brown will now look to replicate his remarkable form as Whitehaven prepare for the upcoming season.
