Manchester Airport Opens New 470‑Seat Sports Bar to Enhance Traveller Experience

Manchester Airport has opened a new sports bar with seating for 470 people as part of ongoing improvements to its Terminal 3 facilities. The venue, called Sporting Chance, aims to offer passengers a spacious and lively environment to enjoy food, drink and live sports coverage before departure.

Located in a repurposed area within Terminal 3 that was previously used for private lounges, the Sporting Chance bar adds more than 250 extra seats to the terminal and features nearly 70 television screens showing a wide range of live sporting events. Some screens are also installed in private booth areas that passengers can control themselves.

Travellers passing through Manchester Airport can enjoy an extensive menu of food and drinks while watching live matches or highlights, with panoramic views over the airport airfield from one of the highest points in the terminal.

The new sports bar opening forms part of a broader redevelopment programme at Manchester Airport, which is investing in upgraded facilities and amenities across its passenger terminals to improve overall experience and increase capacity for its millions of annual visitors.

Airport officials say the addition of Sporting Chance reflects a focus on enhancing traveller comfort and providing fresh options for dining and entertainment while waiting for flights.

The venue is expected to be popular with sports fans and families alike, adding a vibrant and social element to Manchester Airport’s growing range of services for passengers.
