Morecambe Bay Walks 2025 Raise £843,000 for Charities
Morecambe Bay a series of Morecambe Bay charity walks held during 2025 have been hailed as a major fundraising success, with organisers estimating that around £843,000 was raised to support 68 different charities across the region. Over 13,000 walkers and supporters took part in the events, combining the iconic coastal experience with philanthropy to benefit a wide range of community and charity partners.
The walks which typically see participants guided safely across the tidal sands of Morecambe Bay under the supervision of an experienced guide continued throughout the summer months. These events have become well‑loved fixtures in the local calendar, attracting walkers of all ages and raising funds for organisations ranging from health‑related charities to community support groups.
Many charities used the opportunity to boost awareness of their causes while benefiting from sponsorship and donations. Funds raised help support vital services and activities including healthcare initiatives, support for vulnerable people, and community improvement projects strengthening local services across Cumbria and Lancashire.
