Handpicked Productions Finds New Home for Creative Work
Handpicked Productions has announced it has moved into a new home, providing the organisation with a stronger base to continue and expand its creative and community-focused work in West Cumbria.
The arts organisation, which is known for delivering workshops, exhibitions, and heritage projects across the region, said the move will help support its growing programme of activities and partnerships.
Handpicked Productions has built a reputation for community engagement through creative initiatives such as free workshops, arts projects for young people, and heritage-based storytelling programmes. Its work has previously included projects delivered in Whitehaven, Cleator Moor, and surrounding areas, often focusing on accessibility and participation in the arts.
Organisers said the new base will allow them to better coordinate events, support local artists, and continue developing projects that connect communities through creativity. The move is also expected to provide improved facilities for planning and delivering workshops and collaborative work.
The organisation has played an active role in West Cumbria’s cultural scene in recent years, working with partners and funders to bring creative opportunities to people of all ages, and aims to continue strengthening its presence in the region from its new location.
