Exactly Why YouTuber Jack Doherty Was Arrested And How Long He Could Go to Prison
The influencer with a long list of scandals
Doherty is no stranger to drama. Just last year, he crashed a $200,000 McLaren supercar while livestreaming on his phone behind the wheel.
And who could forget the wild moment during an unofficial Las Vegas wedding where he read out a ridiculous “prenup” saying his partner would get nothing if they divorced even if he cheated while she’d owe him $10 million if she was unfaithful. Classy.
What went down in Miami?
This time, Doherty was reportedly filming stunts in the middle of a Miami road when police confronted him. According to arrest documents obtained by CBS News, officers found:
Half an orange pill (marked “3”), believed to be an amphetamine
Three suspected cannabis joints
And of course Doherty refusing to follow police commands
He was arrested on the spot, taken to jail… and then popped up online the very next day, laughing and celebrating his release like it was just another vlog stunt.
“I’m a free man guys, let’s go!” he shouted on camera outside the jail.
The charges he’s facing
Doherty has been charged with:
Possession of a controlled substance – third degree felony
Possession of 20g or less of marijuana – first degree misdemeanor
Resisting an officer without violence – first degree misdemeanor
His bond was set at $3,500 (£2,660), which he posted immediately before resuming content creation like nothing happened. He even spoke to TMZ, calling the arrest “the worst day of his life.”
